How we give back

Where The Money Goes

A small percentage of the donations from our event attendees is allocated to charitable causes. These contributions may be spontaneous donations or in recognition of attendees who have benefitted from charitable support. we appreciate these connections through fundraising initiatives. Following our 11-a-side matches, we consistently donate to the charity designated by our players of the match, along with a contribution to Lancashire Mind.

Lancashire mind  is particularly significant to us, as it aids individuals in Lancashire experiencing mental health challenges, which motivates our commitment to regular donations. In 2025, we contributed £280 to Lancashire Mind.

In 2024 we raised £3,500 for various charitable causes, and in 2025 the total increased to £5,001. A substantial portion of these funds is generated through our annual football tournament and a large fundraising event.

Our Biggest Donations In 2025

The Lisa Woods Memorial Tournament

Starting in 2024, we will host a 5-a-side tournament at our 3G venue in Warton in memory of Lisa Woods. Lisa was the mother of Grant, our 11-a-side team captain. In 2024, Lisa was living with terminal cancer, and the tournament was organised to raise funds for her bucket list; this initiative proved to be a success. Unfortunately, Lisa passed away in early 2025 after her brave battle with cancer. In honour of her memory, we have decided to continue the tournament, with proceeds going to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation in Preston, which provided Lisa with support and treatment during her final days. In 2025 we raised £1355 for the cause.

Our 24 Hour Football Match

In June 2025, we organised a 24-hour football match to raise funds for a local initiative called 'Get Dan Home'. This initiative aims to support Dan, a young child who experienced two life changing strokes that significantly impacted his life and the lives of his family. In order to accommodate Dan's health and needs, his parents required financial assistance to make extensive modifications to their home. To contribute to this cause, we hosted a continuous football match where 16 of our regular attendees played from 5pm to 9am in a sports hall and local 3g pitch. Following this, local youth teams took to the pitch from 9am to 2pm. The final three hours involved players from Atletico Warton, who completed the event until 5 PM. Through this effort, we successfully raised £1,800 to support this important cause.

Fylde Food Bank

Certain areas of Fylde are recognised as some of the most deprived in the United Kingdom. The Fylde Food Bank plays a crucial role in assisting those in need within the community. In order to express our appreciation for their efforts, we focus on providing support through donations. Each Easter, we contribute by purchasing Easter eggs, and every Christmas, we donate toys for children of all ages and genders. Our initiative aims to ensure that no child is left without, thereby helping to alleviate poverty in the region.
